• @lilian101 I was not referring to anyone of any age that is doing illegal activity (if you read my comment). Perhaps your area is different but we have never had such issues here so until that day i will continue to have fun with the holiday.

• Just because you prefer to be a grinch doesn't mean you should get to dictate your ways on everyone else either. Just leave your light off if you don't want to give out candy. If anyone bothers your house, just call the appropriate authorities as you would at any time of the year.

There are many things that are completely natural that are not considered professional behavior during work hour …

• Um when my niece and nephews come to visit, not much adult conversation can go forward that isn't interrupted by the kids in one way or another whether it be by the kid themselves interrupting or the adults's attention being switched over to the kids because they are being cute.

• The child did wrong by lying but he corrected his course pretty quickly and admitted it. There was no need to bully him and punishing him to that degree and definitely not for that long timeframe either. Perhaps take away a privilege or something or make him sit in time out. Not torture.

• I think if the kid shows an interest in it on their own then it is no big deal. I don't like it though if adults force it on them.
